The ultrasonic wave emitted by the sensor transmits in a certain direction through the air medium, and part of them is reflected back and received by the sensor. We can calculate the interval time by the sensor's built-in micro processor. With the help of transmitting speed of ultrasonic wave in the medium, we can calculate the distance from the measured surface to the ultrasonic sensor.
